Welcome to the Erie Ski Club

The Erie Ski Club has a 40 year tradition of fun dedicated to skiing, fitness and the outdoor life. Our club thrives on it's members participation in trips in the U.S.A., Canada, and abroad In addition we also offer discount passes to local ski areas. Our ESC Race Team, headed by Mark Signorino, is small but competitive. Click the Racing Site link above for more details. The off season finds us enjoying golf outings, picnics, horseback riding, and cycling activities. The first Monday evening of each month (except June - August) finds us at BrewErie at Union Station enjoying each others company and a few beverages followed by a short meeting.

Notes from the President

My neck surgery went well. All the discs are back where they belong, bone fragments removed and some nifty hardware added. Thanks to all who sent warm wishes. I'll be back out next season (come Hell or high water!).
As I continue my winter of inside looking out, I notice I find myself in the role of 'Ski Ambassador'. People ask me about the shirts I wear with logos from the different ski resorts I have visited (all the same shirts, mind you) and we start conversations about destinations and experiences. The fun we had here and there.
As I shared today with the delivery woman, I noticed her eyes getting wide and her voice getting excited while telling me about her last trip to Holiday Valley when she discovered Champagne.
What about you? Have you shared your love of Winter with someone lately or have you grown complacent? If there is one thing I know it is that people love to talk about fun they have had. Let's encourage that!
